I would gather them all around. The pigs, the bunnies, all of them

I made a wall of them. Like a protecting shield between the rest of the world and me. Between you and me

But the safety never came with the shield

The safety they give is on the way, it’s in the air between you and me

They keep whispering to me that they are the safety but they block me

(I can’t keep you on the top shelf, If I never made it to yours.

I can’t find one bone in me to trust you)

They say they give me safety but I feel unsafe. I feel like my protecting shield is nothing but a bunch of stuffed animals
